Previous Eufy devices have constructed a rough map of your home using infrared sensors and bumping into objects, but the X8's laser mapping technology is much more accurate. It takes less time to create an accurate map of your home. It also has the ability to store multiple maps. This is ideal for multi-floored homes. The X8 is still a decent vacuum on floors with no dust, slinging debris under its side brushes and into its 400ml dust bin with relative ease. The X8's tyres, despite their circular shape, are very good at grabbing corners and edges. It's not the best cat litter eater, however our tests have shown it is able to remove around 90 percent of the fur off hard floors. The mopping mode that is the basic one uses the same water reservoir as the vacuuming mode. This is great for spills that aren't serious, but you cannot control the amount of water that it uses. That said, it does an admirable job of removing pet hair, with a higher speed of pickup than the Roborock S7. 3. Miele RX2 Known for quietly effective home appliances Miele's RX2 robot vacuum is a great choice because of its cleaning power, gorgeous design and great navigation. There are a few niggles in its operation that prevent it from being considered the best smart robot vacuum. Similar to the latest models of iRobot and models, the RX2 has dual-sensor mapping that uses an LIDAR sensor to map out the space and a pair of 3D scanning cameras to detect and avoid obstacles (like furniture legs or pet waste) in real-time. After the room has been defined, you can assign virtual no go areas and favorite sections to the robot. You can also begin an automatic clean or manually change the cleaning mode, see a live feed from the onboard cameras and more from the main screen. The sensors of the RX2 work well, registering furniture and other obstructions in real-time. The suction and sweeping capabilities are excellent, getting rid of surface litter from carpets of medium pile and also removing embedded dust on bare floors. But it's not the most flexible robot available. It's not the greatest climber and has issues with metal threshold transition strips. Some people buy a robot vacuum for the hands-off convenience of setting a schedule on an app and forgetting about it for weeks at one time. Its rear dust bin is easy to access for emptying and cleaning the filter is the same. 5. Eufy 11S Eufy 11S is a great option if you're looking for a vacuum cleaner that is easy to use and simple at a cost that is low. The model isn't equipped with smart features like Alexa integration and digital mapping found in more expensive models. However, if you don't need these functions, you can save money. This robot is easy to use and set up. It does not require a smartphone application or Wi-Fi pairing. However it does come with a remote control which lets you select between different modes and alter the suction levels. You can also send the robotvac on an cleaning schedule. In our tests, the 11S was extremely effective in cleaning dirt and pet hair from hard floors as well as in carpets with a low pile.
